Usage: | General Information BH-612 offers a little of organic solvent approach that being enhance film-forming property and stability to the formulation of film adhesives, fiberglass reinforced plastics, textile finishes, and glass coatings. In addition, BH-612 can be used in the formulation of coatings where conventional solvent based epoxy resins are normally used. BH-612 can also be used in formulations which are traditionally water based and require improved chemical and water resistance. Examples of such applications are fiber finishes and industrial textile applications. BH-612 can be cured through by BH-560 curing agent, which most conveniently employed are those which are water soluble or dispersible and are stable in an aqueous medium. It is a water reducible amine adduct supplied at 50% solid in water, compatible with most epoxy resin, super adhesion and corrosion resistance over a variety of substrates. When applied at room temperature, BH-612 does not form a continuous film after evaporation of the water. However, upon the application of heat (~170 °F) the resin system will readily coalesce to a smooth coating. | |
Description: | Black Horse Epoxy Waterborne Resin BH-612 Product Deion Epoxy Waterborne Resin BH-612 is a nonionic, aqueous dispersion of a higher molecular weight liquid bisphenol A epoxy resin, with an epoxide value at 0.08 to 0.12 and a Durran’s melting point of 60 to 90°C. BH-612 is supplied at a moderate viscosity and is mechanically stable. With a little of organic solvents are present. BH-612 is completely water reducible, providing for a wide latitude in viscosity reduction. |
